DVD trailer Based on a dystopian soft science fiction novel by Ray Bradbury published in 1953. The novel presents a future American society in which people consume large amounts of dangerous medications to stabilize their moods, the notion of family is replaced by a falsely interactive form of television, and critical thought through reading is outlawed. The central character, Guy Montag, is employed as a "fireman" (which, in this future, means "book burner"). The number "451" refers to the temperature (in Fahrenheit) at which the books burn[1] when the "firemen" burn them "for the good of humanity". Written in the early years of the Cold War, the novel is a critique of what Bradbury saw as an increasingly dysfunctional American society. According to Bradbury the novel is not about censorship but about how television destroys interest in reading literature. The film adaptation was directed by François Truffaut and was his only English-language film and starred Oskar Werner as Montag and Julie Christie who was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role award for the dual roles of Linda (Mildred) Montag and Clarisse; having long red and short blonde hair respectively and being photographed through different coloured filters. Funding for the film became available when both Christie and Werner, both in popular films at the time, became interested in the project. Nov 19, 2008 1 View

Tunnel Rats - official trailer The tunnel rats were American, Australian and New Zealand soldiers who performed underground search and destroy missions during the Vietnam War. According to R. Lee Ermey of Mail Call, "Tunnel rats were the smallest guys with the biggest cojones." In the course of the war, the Viet Cong created very extensive underground complexes. Whenever troops would uncover a tunnel, Tunnel Rats were sent in to kill any buried enemy and to plant explosives to destroy the tunnels. A Tunnel Rat was equipped with only a semiautomatic M1911 (.45 caliber) pistol and a flashlight, although most tunnel rats were allowed to choose another pistol to arm themselves with. The tunnels were very dangerous, with numerous booby traps and enemies lying in wait. Often there were flooded U-bends in the tunnels to trap gas. Guards manned holes on the sides of tunnels through which spears could be thrust impaling a crawling intruder. Not only were there human enemies to deal with, but also different creatures such as snakes, spiders, scorpions, ants, and bats. Due to the confined space, the tunnel rats disliked the massive muzzle blast of the M1911 pistol, which would often leave them temporarily deaf. Nov 30, 2008 1 View
